“A perfect example of late 90s Lego stuff - heavily simplified design and a strange color-scheme. this set doesn't fit to older or newer train sets, it just goes with the 4565 train, so rather leave your hands off it and get the newer and better 4514 cargo crane.”

“The Lego 4557 Freight Loading Station is a structural addition to the Lego 9 volt line. The set includes 215 pieces, and of those 215 pieces, there is a a car, two minifigures, and a crane. The freight loading station is a on the fly crane lift, it will transfer precious... More cargo quickly and more efficiently then it’s counter parts. Instead of going through the track, this goes outside of it, so cleaning up the track is easy. This would make a great addition to any Lego train track.”

About Trains 9V

LEGO Trains is one of the longer running themes that dates back from 1966 and ran up until 2006. During its run there were multiple sets released running on various power platforms from 4.5volt, to 9 and 12 volt sets. Later in 2011 LEGO released additional train sets using RC and Power Functions controllers under different themes like City.

9V consists of 67 sets that ran from 1991 to 2006. As of today, 4558 Metroliner is the most valuable 9V set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $1,989.
