Harry Potter and the Philosopher's was the first LEGO theme based on Harry Potter and the first of the novels. The sets are based on the movie version rather than the book version. There were 15 set released in all 2001 to 2002

Philosopher's Stone currently consists of 28 sets that as of now has run from 2001 to 2025. As of today, 4709 Hogwarts Castle is the most valuable Philosopher's Stone set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $399.
