“This Belville fairy set centers on the Iris figure, whose large, articulated build and flowing dress elements reflect the theme’s emphasis on expressive character design rather than intricate construction. The inclusion of animal companions and translucent fantasy elements adds visual contrast and reinforces the fairy-tale setting through simple but distinctive parts. As a small character-focused model, it functions primarily as a display vignette highlighting the unique scale and styling that defined the Belville line.”

About Belville Fairy Tales

Fairy Tales was a subtheme of LEGO Belville. This subtheme often featured magical or fantasy-oriented sets. Elements like castles, fairies, magical creatures, and enchanted forests were common in these sets. Some of the sets also drew inspiration from classic fairy tales and stories. The Fairy Tales subtheme was part of LEGO's effort to engage a broader audience and offer different play scenarios beyond the traditional city, space, and castle themes.

Fairy Tales consists of 28 sets that ran from 1999 to 2007. As of today, 5850 The Royal Crystal Palace is the most valuable Fairy Tales set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $328.
Summary
Belville Fairy Tales Iris set 5803 was released in April 1999, retailing for $7, but has since been retired. New, unopened Iris sets are valued at $26, while used sets can be found for $19 in good condition.
