Set Value (New/Sealed)

This represents the current new/sealed value of the set Police Headquarters since January 1976. Medium accuracy

LEGO 585-1 Police Headquarters is a LEGOLAND Town set released in 1976, consisting of 300 pieces and four LEGOLAND figures. The set builds a multi-story police station featuring a service garage, rooftop helipad, and communication tower, all constructed in white, blue, and black elements typical of mid-1970s LEGOLAND color schemes. Included are a small police car, a motorcycle, and a brick-built helicopter with spinning rotor blades. The figures are early non-articulated LEGOLAND types with printed torsos and flat hats, representing policemen and a helicopter pilot. It was sold exclusively in the United States; the identical set was released as 370 Police Headquarters in Europe, the UK, Australia, and Canada.

A new and sealed Police Headquarters is currently valued at around $782, with annual growth of approximately 8%, which is higher than other LEGOLAND sets. The average used price is $98 for those in good overall condition. Based on current trends, this set could be valued near $837 within the next year.

Insights

Released as a US-only variant and long retired, Police Headquarters (set 585) is an early LEGOLAND Town police model with classic-era figures and period-printed elements, and its regional rarity supports collectible demand while thin trading and box-condition sensitivity add volatility.

This set was only released in the US and is the same as set 370 Police Headquarters, which was only released in Europe, UK, Australia, and Canada.

About LEGOLAND

The LEGO LEGOLAND theme, introduced in the 1970s and continuing into the 1980s, comprised sets that replicated everyday scenes, vehicles, and buildings in a more simplistic style than later themes. These sets, pre-dating the minifigure era, were designed to represent various aspects of life, from towns to vehicles to castles. The LEGOLAND theme was foundational in the evolution of LEGO, bridging the gap between basic brick building and the more themed, narrative-driven sets that would become standard in subsequent years.
