It was a cheap option to have a king minifigure, but many don`t knows about that now and rate the set low. For a small set in comparison with others like the "Samurai... About Castle Royal Knights

The Royal Knights were one of the factions of the Castle theme introduced in 1995. Royal Knights was the first theme that introduced a minifigure portraying a king with a real crown. Most sets were released during its launch. The following year saw only two new sets. The Royal Knights had two minor guest appearances in sets of Dark Forest and Fright Knights.

Royal Knights consists of 8 sets that ran from 1995 to 1998. As of today, 6090 Royal Knight's Castle is the most valuable Royal Knights set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $3,028.
