About City Arctic
Arctic is a City subtheme that involved arctic explorers. It was an extension of the original Arctic sets released under the Town theme in 2000. The City version of the Arctic theme had two releases, in 2014 then again in 2018. The background story behind the theme involved meteors that were falling to Earth in locations around the Arctic. The sets featured several snow vehicles and a research station.
Arctic was introduced in 2014 and currently consists of 23 sets. As of today,
60062 Arctic Icebreaker is the most valuable Arctic set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $251.
Summary
City Arctic Arctic Supply Plane set 60196 was released on June 2, 2018, retailing for $80, it has since been retired. New, unopened sets are valued at $125, while used sets sell around $75.
