Insights

A mid-tier hold anchored by the Ninjago Movie dragon motif, Green Ninja Mech Dragon (2017) has shown durable secondary-market interest and display appeal from its sand-green mech styling and named characters, and its mass-retail origins plus frequent dragon reissues limit upside.

The Brothers Brick

“While I would have preferred a more balanced-looking dragon, the Green Mech Dragon glides his way into my top five LEGO dragons, and my top spot for Ninjago dragons. It’s right on point for price and is an especially good deal for stocking up on sand green and warm gold... More parts.”

Designer's notes — “The dragon was maybe one of the models of the movie line that was under construction for the longest time. Because we knew the dragon would have a big role in the Movie we wanted it make sure every thing was perfect, this also led to five different radical color changes of... More the dragons main colors. In the end we settled with the sand green and gold as the main colors.”
