Jays Brick Blog
“The hairpiece is made out of the new rubbery plastic that Lego is so fond of using lately, but I can't complain here because it's just so intricate and unique that I feel that if you're going to buy one minifig from Series 10, the Medusa is the one you should get. Too bad... More there's only 2 of her in each box so that's gonna make her quite hard to find.”

“Medusa has a dark green snake tail, a sand-green torso, sand-green arms, and sand-green hands. She has printing on her torso depicting feminine curves, a belly button, and brown and tan armor. The top of the armor is decorated intricately with two snakes heads' meeting as... More each one arcs its back.”

About Minifigure Series Series 10

Minifigures Series 10 (71001) came out in May 2013 with 16 minifigures and one extra, Mr. Gold, a gold chrome figure in a top hat. Only 5,000 Mr. Gold figures were made, hidden at random among the packs around the world, so finding one came down to luck. He was the first chase figure in the Collectible Minifigures line and became one of the most hunted minifigures LEGO has made.

Series 10 was introduced in 2013 and currently consists of 20 sets. As of today, Mr. Gold is the most valuable Series 10 set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $9,441.
Summary
Minifigure Series Series 10 Medusa set 71001 was released in May 2013, retailing for $3, but has since been retired. New, unopened Medusa sets are valued at $41, while used sets can be found for $25.

“Look thisssss way, my dear.”

As a mythical Gorgon, Medusa has the power to instantly turn any creature that looks directly at her to solid stone. Some people might think of this as a curse, but she loves it, even if the effect does only last a few hours.

Unfortunately for her mischievous hobby, her legend has become so well-known that almost nobody falls into Medusa’s trap these days. She’s tried all kinds of tricks, like hiding behind bushes and suddenly jumping out, pretending to be inside a TV set, and going undercover in the reptile house at the zoo…but the hissing of her hair always gives her away!
