Collector and Investor Insights
Low-cost Ninjago spinner duel sets have usually been driven more by character specificity than by format alone, and a Cole versus Evil Cole pairing gives this one a clearer collector hook than a standard training spinner. The ceiling is still limited by broad retail distribution and a small parts count, but Ninjago's long record of collector follow-through on distinct variants gives it a better case than most entry-price action sets.
  • Ninjago has one of the stronger retirement records among long-running in-house themes, especially when a set ties into a defined story beat or includes a character variant that is not easily substituted by a later release.
  • At this size, retired spinners and similar action-format Ninjago sets have typically depended on the minifigure selection rather than the build. An Evil Cole version is the main point of differentiation and could matter if that look appears in few other sets.
  • Retail availability at an entry price usually means high initial supply, which tends to restrain scarcity. Similar small Ninjago sets have done best when they combine impulse-level access with one exclusive figure or print that collectors later need for completion.

About Ninjago

LEGO Ninjago, also known as Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu, theme was introduced in 2011 and included sets that are based off of original storylines, a TV series and The LEGO Ninjago Movie, a movie based on the theme. The main premise of the Ninjago universe is based around six teenage Ninja, Kai, Jay, Cole, Zane, Nya, and Lloyd, who have been trained by their master Sensei Wu, fighting forces of evil to protect the land of Ninjago. The ninjas use a LEGO inspired fighting style known as Spinjitzu where the fighters spin around and draw on their elemental strengths to become tornadoes of energy and each of the main protagonist characters is aligned to a particular element.
