LEGO 7418 Scorpion Palace is an Adventurers Orient Expedition set released in 2003, containing 341 pieces and 5 minifigures. The palace build incorporates a scorpion mechanism with moving claws that release a boulder, a trap door, and the Orient Expedition board game, and includes the Golden Shield artifact. The minifigures are Johnny Thunder, Lord Sinister, Dr. Kilroy, Maharaja Lallu, and a Scorpion Palace Guard, with Maharaja Lallu and the Guard exclusive to this set. A later variant, 7418-2, was issued with a foam scimitar accessory. The reverse of the instruction manual features a map of the Orient Expedition regions covering India, the Himalayas, and China.

About Adventurers Orient Expedition

The Orient Expedition subtheme of The Adventurers theme was released in 2003 and discontinued in 2005. The theme was about Johnny Thunder, Dr. Kilroy, Pippin Reed, and their new Asian friends going through Asia to find the Golden Dragon of Marco Polo and his three other treasures before the sneaky Lord Sam Sinister and his partners-in-crime did. This is was the last subtheme of Adventurers. Each set with more than 100 pieces came with stat cards and a piece of a game board that could be added to the Orient Expedition Board Game.

Orient Expedition was introduced in 2003 and currently consists of 20 sets. As of today, 7419 Dragon Fortress is the most valuable Orient Expedition set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $1,145.
