LEGO 7471 Mars Exploration Rover is a Discovery set released in 2003, containing 870 pieces. About Discovery

The Discovery theme was a licensed theme both introduced and discontinued in 2003 which focused on real space flight. It was comprised of several accurate reproductions of real spacecraft in various scales. All sets in the Discovery theme except for set 10029 Lunar Lander did not include any minifigs. The box art of the LEGO sets displayed the Discovery Kids channel logo and mpst of the spacecraft displayed the NASA logo.
