“This version has reached that point where future versions will be based off of this iteration. There is very little more than can be done to make this set better. The minifig selection is quite nice; Threepio and Artoo never looked better and getting the two Jawas that were... More previously only available in 75059 Sandcrawler in a cheap set can only be a good thing.”

The Brick Fan
“Overall the LEGO Star Wars Droid Escape Pod (75136) is a much better improvement than the previous 9490 version as the general look of it is more film accurate. Although there are stickers, they do bring out the details of the pod rather well. The minifigure selection is... More good especially considering that both C-3PO and R2-D2 are exclusive even though they have slightly new printing.”

About Star Wars Episode IV

Episode IV covers A New Hope, the first Star Wars film from 1977, and it goes back to the first LEGO Star Wars sets of 1999, among them Luke's X-wing and landspeeder. Luke, Han and Leia had the classic yellow LEGO faces until 2004, when LEGO switched the figures of its licensed themes to flesh tones to look more like the actors.

Episode IV was introduced in 1999 and currently consists of 53 sets. As of today, NY Comic-Con 2012 Luke Skywalker's Landspeeder is the most valuable Episode IV set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $1,012.
Summary
Star Wars Episode IV Droid Escape Pod set 75136 was released in March 2016, retailing for $25, but has since been retired. New, unopened Droid Escape Pod sets are valued at $64, while used sets can be found for $23 in good condition.
