The LEGO ExoForce Golden City theme is a part of the larger ExoForce theme, shifting the narrative to a gleaming, advanced city setting. This theme presents new sets and mechs tailored for operations within this cityscape, extending the conflict between human pilots and the robot opposition. The sets blend the mechanical elements typical of ExoForce with architectural features of the Golden City.

In combined mode, it scales the cliffs of Sentai Mountain or the walls of the Golden City with its clawed legs, prison capture cage and powerful firing cannon, but when the battle gets tough, its front end detaches to fight as a raging robot battle machine of its own.
