“BE - Professional Review said: This early LEGO tractor introduced the first use of tracks, marking a major design step for the theme. It includes a functional dump trailer with hinged parts and a brick-built driver figure from before the minifigure era. The set also featured several alternate builds, showcasing creative possibilities even with its simple construction.”

About Universal Building Set Gears

The LEGO Universal Building Set Gears theme, active from 1970 to 1974, introduced mechanical components to enhance the building experience. Key sets include 800 Gears, Motor and Bricks, which combined gears and a motor with standard bricks, allowing for the creation of moving models. The 801 Gear Set provided a variety of gears for constructing mechanical assemblies, and the 811-2 Gear Set offered additional gear elements for more complex designs.

Gears consists of 8 sets that ran from 1970 to 1974. As of today, 803-2 Gears, Bricks and Heavy Tires is the most valuable Gears set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $225.
