Technic-Dialog
“The Road Rally V from the Lego Technic series is a beautiful model for beginners. From relatively few parts a Go-Kart is built, which not only has steerable front wheels (which is a minimum standard) but also movable pistons in the engine, which are moved when the wheels... More turn. All in all, it gets four stars in the overall rating.”

The Plastic Brick
“Road Rally V (LEGO #8225-1) is a good LEGO set from the Technic theme. The set is a pretty cool cart-style racer that includes one of the rare Technic Figures. Working steering wheel and piston are some of the nice features of the set too.”

Technicopedia
“The 8225 go kart, released in 1995, is quite an accurate representation of a real go kart. The wheel base is almost square, and the tires are wide and smooth. The center of gravity is low, and a single cylinder engine is rear mounted to a solid drive axle. The steering... More uses the flexible rack assembly. It includes a sticker sheet and a Technic figure to drive.”
