LEGO 8253 Fire Helicopter is a Technic set released in 1999, containing 210 pieces and 1 minifigure. The model builds into a compact rescue helicopter with a spinning main rotor, an under-mounted searchlight, landing skids, and a winch. Its main rotor is driven by a crank mechanism, and the build is divided into five detachable modules: the main rotor, tail boom, winch, landing skids, and pilot unit. Set 8253 was designed as part of a modular rescue vehicle group alongside Technic sets 8252 and 8255, which could be reconfigured using similar module-based construction.

A new and sealed Fire Helicopter is currently valued at around $58, with annual growth of approximately 3%. The average used price is $41 for those in good overall condition. Based on current trends, this set could be valued near $61 within the next year.
