LEGO 8431 Pneumatic Crane Truck is a Technic set released in 2002, containing 862 pieces. “The Crane Truck from the Lego Technic series is another well-made model. Out of 841 parts a beautiful model of a crane that retains all necessary functions can be built up. In order to enable the boom to be raised even further for the first time in the Lego Technic series... More two cylinders were directly connected with each other. The model isn’t very big so the whole technology was fitted into the tiniest space. The Crane Truck provides a lot of fun during construction and afterwards. A great model, which absolutely deserves its highest rating. The Crane Truck was sold already in 1995 with item number 8460.”

“Nice set, I'm grateful that they did re-release this one. Yellow suits it well and it is despite it being smaller than I expected a very playable model. It has nice clever features, particularly the steering and axle supports but I was somewhat disappointed by the slightly... More jerky crane movement and the string for the hook needs persuading to lower but along with the back hoe digger this rates as one of the best technic releases releases of the last few years.”

TECHNIC is one of The LEGO Company's main lines based on creating detailed model machines and mechanical toys with specialized beams, axles, gears and connectors and primarily designed for older children and adults. The theme was first introduced as the Expert Builder series in 1977, but was officially renamed as TECHNIC in 1984.
