LEGO 8482 CyberMaster is a Technic Competition set released in 1998, containing 900 pieces and 1 Technic figure. The set centers on a programmable control brick operated via a PC CD-ROM and an RF tower that connects to a computer’s serial port. It features two built-in electric motors, ports for an additional 9V motor or lamp, and three push-button sensors, with the brick able to store a single program.

Positioned as a forerunner to the later Mindstorms Robotics Command System, CyberMaster used a radio link for programming rather than a direct cable. An expansion CD-ROM titled “Mission” was released in 1999 with additional building instructions for an airplane model. In Germany, the set was sold as 8482 in a metal case.

A new and sealed CyberMaster is currently valued at around $286, with annual growth of approximately 3%. The average used price is $78 for those in good overall condition. “The two main modells included are fun. One is a tracked vehicle with three different functions you can attach to the front: A blade, a forklift and a grabber. The second model is like the cyber slam stuff. You have one "monster" with 3 targets which is contorlled by the... More computer or another player and one smaller "monster" which you use to aim for the targets and to strike them.”
