LEGO 8563 Tahnok is a Bionicle Bohrok set released in 2002, containing 41 pieces. The set depicts the Fire Bohrok Tahnok with dual Fire Shields and includes a blue rubber Krana, randomly selected from one of eight types. Like other Bohrok, the model can fold into a rolling ball for transformation or storage and was released as one of six Bohrok in the winter 2002 wave. Pieces from Tahnok can be combined with sets 8560 Pahrak and 8561 Nuhvok to build the Bohrok Kaita Za.

“A awesome set, like the other bohrok, the krana color and the eye color combines. The teeth are the same of bohroks, the shields have flame designs, and the legs and arms colors are the same orange of tahu. Great features, the gear system to move the head, capability to... More shift in sphere, the krana covered, the head pieces, and the little feet. Maybe one of the most coolest of the 2002 year.”

“By pushing a button in Tahnok's back, its head will snap forward to attack. Doing this with the faceplate loose will also cause its Krana to shoot forward. A rubber band causes its head to retract once the attack is over.”

About Bionicle Bohrok

The Bohrok are mechanical BIONICLE insectoid creatures and prominent antagonists in the Chronicles storyline controlled by strange parasitic beings that live within their heads, known as Krana. All Bohrok share the abilities of curling up into a ball and ejecting their Krana onto an opponent, forcing them to become part of the swarm and are equipped with shields on their hands that allow them to fire their element.

Bohrok was introduced in 2002 and currently consists of 6 sets. As of today, 8564 Lehvak is the most valuable Bohrok set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $95.
