LEGO 8568 Pohatu Nuva is a Bionicle Toa Nuva set released in 2002, containing 40 pieces. The set depicts the Toa of Stone with silver armor, a brown Kanohi Kakama Nuva mask, and climbing claws that can combine into the Kodan ball. It features a back-mounted gear mechanism that moves his legs and an inverted torso build that gives a stockier appearance. Released in summer 2002, it was one of six Toa Nuva canister sets and ties to story events in Po-Wahi involving the Bohrok.

“Pohatu Nuva is one of the six Toa Nuva. He has armor covering his body and his shoulders and two Climbing Claws in his hands. Pohatu Nuva's colours are several shades of brown with silver armour. He wears the Kanohi Kakama Nuva, the Nuva Mask of Speed. In the BIONICLE... More universe, he is a Toa of Stone. His body is built very differently from the other Toa Nuva: instead of the gear moving the arms, the gear moves the legs, and his torso appears to be upside-down, giving him a stockier appearance.”

“By combining pieces from Pohatu Nuva with 8566 Onua Nuva and 8572 Tahu Nuva, one can build Akamai Nuva. Turning a gear in Pohatu Nuva's back causes him to swing his right leg in a kicking motion. His Climbing Claws can also be combined to form a Kodan Ball.”

LEGO Toa Nuva are a group of characters in the BIONICLE line produced by the LEGO Group. The Toa Nuva were a group of Toa who possessed special powers and abilities. The LEGO Toa Nuva sets were released in 2001 and featured updated versions of the original Toa characters, with new armor and weapons.
