“The Vampire is clearly based off Béla Lugosi’s look in the 1931 classic Dracula. The black suit, the vest, a bowtie and golden brooch all scream classic and that’s they way LEGO should be doing it. No point in reinventing the wheel when this is the quintessential version... More after all.”

About Minifigure Series Series 2

The Minifigures Series 2 (8684) is the second series of collectable minifigures that was released in September 2010 and contains sixteen collectable minifigures. Series 2 was packaged in blind, blue polybags but again featured a barcode system that inadvertently helped collectors to identify the contents before buying.

Series 2 was introduced in 2010 and currently consists of 19 sets. As of today, Series 2 Sealed Box is the most valuable Series 2 set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $669.

The Vampire may be a 200-year-old creature of nightmare and legend, but that doesn’t mean that he has to be uncivilized. He likes to read comic books with his pet bat, take long walks by the seaside (after sunset, of course), and throw huge parties in his big stone castle.

He’s not a big fan of the more traditional vampire activities (though he has to admit that the flying is pretty cool), and much prefers a fruit smoothie to the classic beverage of choice. The local villagers might have been a little spooked at first, but now they’re very excited to have a friendly vampire in town!
