About Technic Supplementary

The LEGO Technic Supplementary theme, active from 1977 to 1997, consists of a variety of accessory sets designed to enhance and expand existing Technic models. These sets provided additional parts, such as gears, wheels, axles, and motors, allowing builders to add more functionality and complexity to their creations. Notable sets in this theme include the "870 Technical Motor," which introduced a battery-powered motor for motorizing models, and the "8710 Supplementary Set," a collection of gears and other essential mechanical parts.

Supplementary consists of 18 sets that ran from 1977 to 1997. As of today, 871 Supplementary Set is the most valuable Supplementary set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $115.
