“The Citadel is built out of three sections, which can be easily disconnected from each other. The first section includes a large rock, with a brown staircase running up the middle of it. Once on top of the platform, there is a doorway with two boulders blocking it. When the... More boulders are pushed off the side, they pull the drawbridge up, allowing the minifigures to get through. Underneath the drawbridge there is a light blue base with a green frog sitting on it.”

“The bridge by itself looks like a less interesting version of set 8778 Border Ambush. It even uses the same minifigs. This part uses 2 triangular BURPs in brown. It is the first time TLC ever made this part in brown (new brown of course). All together the model looks nice... More and interesting. On one hand the modularity of the model is very nice, on the other hand there is no other useful way to combine them all together. There is no real attachment between the 3 sections at all which could have been easily fixed by adding technic pins.”

The Castle theme is one of LEGO’s primary themes first introduced in 1978 and based around medieval life with castles and knights. It is currently the third longest-lived theme in LEGO history. Over the years it saw numerous changes thus introducing various fantasy elements.

This ancient fortress was built to house a sacred order of the Knights of the Citadel. Re-enact life in an ancient world and accompany these hero knights on their travels to the citadel with this LEGO Citadel of Orian set. Part of the Knights' Kingdom series, the fortress is filled with treacherous challenges and is the coveted resting place of the Heart of the Shield. The 440-pc. set includes mini figures of Rascus, the Joker, Danju, the Wise Veteran, the Guardian of the Heart of the Shield and a Citadel guard.
