“The 8815 go kart, released in 1991, was extremely similar to the previous set 1972. There were dual tires at each corner for extra width and a roughly square wheelbase. The steering used the flexible rack assembly. One rear wheel drove a single cylinder reciprocating... More engine. None of the new 1991 parts were used on this model.”

“The Speedway Bandit from the Lego Technic series is another well-made model. With just a few individual parts, a stable go-kart that offers a lot of fun is created. Due to the few individual parts there are of course hardly any functions, but you can't expect that at this... More point. A typical, beautiful, entry-level model. Altogether there are four stars in the overall rating.”

About Technic

TECHNIC is one of The LEGO Company's main lines based on creating detailed model machines and mechanical toys with specialized beams, axles, gears and connectors and primarily designed for older children and adults. The theme was first introduced as the Expert Builder series in 1977, but was officially renamed as TECHNIC in 1984. TECHNIC is still an active theme, and is one of the longest running themes in LEGO history. While most TECHNIC sets are vehicles that use pieces to mimic real vehicles, such as engine pieces, suspension, pneumatic, and transmission pieces, the TECHNIC parts have been used by various other System themes as well as LEGO Mindstorms.
