Insights

Released in 1990 and long retired, Night Chopper (8825) is a classic studded Technic helicopter that draws interest from theme-focused collectors for its early-era styling, and sealed examples are scarce; however frequent helicopter reissues and lack of exclusive molds keep long-term upside and liquidity constrained.

Set Facts

The alternate model is an airplane.
The rotors' rotation is driven by an input crank on the left side.
It is a helicopter with spinning main and tail rotors. It was also called "Technic Helicopter".

Technicopedia

“This small helicopter, released in 1990, was the smallest to date at the time. It features rotating main and tail rotors. The canopy is constructed from liftarms and links. The liftarms lock at 90 degree angles, while the links are pinned. This particular little model... More looks vaguely like a Robinson R22.”

Technic-Dialog

“The Night Chopper from the Lego Technic series is a typical entry-level model. The model of a helicopter is built here from relatively few individual parts. Of course you can hardly expect any functions. The Night Chopper is quite good in itself, so that there are a total of... More four stars in the overall rating.”
