“For the Knight's Kingdom theme, this was one of the larger sets that could be gotten in this theme and for Castle period, it's a good build. I'd almost like it if at some point if LEGO revisited this theme and these characters. Still, like City, Castle is a standard classic... More of LEGO that should be revisited every few years so that each generation of children have a chance to get in and get some Castle sets to build with.”

About Castle Knights' Kingdom II

The Castle theme is one of LEGO’s primary themes first introduced in 1978 and based around medieval life with castles and knights. It is currently the third longest-lived theme in LEGO history. Over the years it saw numerous changes thus introducing various fantasy elements.

Knights' Kingdom II consists of 51 sets that ran from 2004 to 2006. As of today, 8877 Vladek's Dark Fortress is the most valuable Knights' Kingdom II set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $452.

Vladek and his evil army are out for revenge! Having escaped from the Kingdom of Morcia, Vladek and his new evil army have built a menacing Dark Fortress in the Lost Kingdom and are out for revenge. Behind its dark walls all sorts of terrible schemes are being plotted. Vladek and his army are building up strength for the ultimate attack on Morcia! Only the hero knights are brave enough to embark on the dangerous quest to defeat Vladek and save the kingdom. But first they must capture the fortress!
