The set was distributed to registered VIP members at official LEGO Brand Stores as part of the in-store Monthly Mini Model Build program. It is a small Halloween-themed micro build depicting a vampire character. The set was available as a limited store promotion rather than a standard retail release.

About Monthly Mini Model Build

The LEGO Monthly Mini Model Build is an event that takes place at LEGO Stores around the world where stores offer a free LEGO model to kids ages 6-14. Kids visiting a LEGO Store can watch the monthly model being built and then receive one for free. There is a limit to participation as each store receives about 250 models each month.
