“Rod “Torque” Redline, was given out at various Toys "R" Us stores as part of the Bricktober 2011 event. To get the car, you had to stand in line, and, once you neared the head of it, you were given a sheet of instructions and a sticker sheet. The instructions themselves were... More printed on nice paper, but the image quality was very blurry, although not enough to hinder the building.”

“You won’t find Rod “Torque” Redline in any official LEGO Cars set. Rod “Torque” Redline is an homage to the muscle cars out of Detroit, right down to the Michigan license plate. As a LEGO set, he was a promotional item from a Toys’R’Us LEGO Building Event held on Saturday... More October 15, 2011. od’s shape isn’t very accurate, but I think they managed to get the hood scoop exactly right. It’s kind of a shame that Rod is so limited and difficult to acquire. LEGO needs to somehow make the sticker set more widely available so that others may get a chance to build their own Rod “Torque” Redline.”

About Cars Promotional

The LEGO Cars theme was introduced in 2010 for DUPLO and licensed by Disney and contained sets for Cars and Cars 2. In 2011 it was transferred to the LEGO System brand. In 2012 was temporarily discontinued. After the release of Cars 3 the theme was reintroduced in 2017 as a subtheme of Juniors and some of the returning characters' designs had slight changes to comply with the Juniors theme. The sets feature characters and scenes from all 3 of the Disney Pixar's Cars movies.

Since Lightning McQueen, Mater and the rest of the gang returned to the big screen this summer in Cars 2, children everywhere have been building their own versions of classic scenes from the film with the help of a series of LEGO construction sets. Merging Cars 2 and “Bricktober,” Toys“R”Us stores will help kids “Race Around the World” during special Cars 2 events on Saturday, October 15 from 2-4 pm. During the event, kids can build and decorate their own version of Rod “Torque” Redline – the greatest American spy in the world! And, attention race fans, Rod “Torque” Redline is not available in any Cars 2 LEGO sets and can only be found during this event.
