NBA Co-Branded LEGO Sets

LEGO and the National Basketball Association (NBA) collaborated between 2003 and 2004 on an extensive officially licensed product line under the LEGO Sports theme. The partnership produced more than a dozen sets, including playsets, collectible figures, and promotional packs that replicated real NBA gameplay and featured likenesses of actual players. Highlights included 3433 The Ultimate NBA Arena, 3432 NBA Challenge, and 3427 NBA Slam Dunk, all of which incorporated spring-loaded minifigures capable of shooting and dunking basketballs. LEGO also released individual player minifigures—such as 3500 Kobe Bryant, 3529 Pau Gasol, and 3530 Tony Parker—as well as collector series (3560–3567), each packaged with authentic team uniforms and logos. The line was developed in collaboration with the NBA and its sponsors, including Spalding, whose logo appeared on miniature basketballs and court accessories.
