About LEGO BrickLink

BrickLink Designer sets are custom LEGO sets created by fans and produced through a collaboration between LEGO and BrickLink, an online marketplace for LEGO products. The process begins with a submission phase where LEGO enthusiasts submit their original designs. These designs are then voted on by the LEGO community, and the most popular ones move forward to a crowdfunding phase.

During this phase, fans can pre-order the sets they want to see produced. If a set meets the required number of pre-orders, it goes into production and becomes available as a limited-edition set. This lets fans bring their own designs to market and gives the community a direct say in which ones get made.
