Three DC Constraction sets have been released to date based on Batman, The Joker, and strangely, Green Lantern and were some of the original theme's sets. The Constraction figures utilize different color schemes than their respective minifigures, and also have different weapons.

About LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes

LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes theme was part of the LEGO Super Heroes introduced in 2011 which featured both DC Comics and Marvel Comics with DC Comics sets launching first including nine sets in the first wave. Prior to the first wave of sets, LEGO had given away different minifigure promotional sets various Comic Con events.

Originally, the DC Comics theme was known as DC Universe and fell under the subtheme of Super Heroes. Most of the sets and characters based on their comic counterparts, however, recently LEGO introduced some sets and minifigures based on the movies such as Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.
