Speed Champions is a LEGO theme introduced in 2015 that sets are semi-accurate models of iconic and exotic racing cars and supercars with authentic details of existing brands such as Ferrari, McLaren, Audi, Chevrolet, Ford, Mercedes-Benz, Bugatti and Porsche created using LEGO bricks.
In 2015 Speed Champions consisted of iconic hyper cars such as the LaFerrari, McLaren P1 and the Porsche 918 Spyder as well as Formula 1 cars from McLaren, Ferrari and Porsche. In 2016, muscle cars were introduced including the Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Corvette and Camaro. Again in 2017 the theme once again released Formula 1 cars from Ferrari and the championship-winning Mercedes AMG Petronas. In 2018 some more classic cars were introduced such as the 1967 Ford Mustang. In 2020 the 6-wide studs were increased to 8-wide with the introduction of the Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo and Nissan GTR Nismo and later the Toyota Supra, Corvette C8.R and Koenigsegg Jesko.
