Western

Western consists of 20 sets that ran from 1996 to 2002. Most sets were released in 1997 which accounted for 11 sets. It is comprised of 2 subthemes with the most sets in Cowboys which consists of 12 sets and has an annual growth of around 9.7%. As of today, the average annual growth of all the sets in Western is around 9.7% per year. The current value of all sets in new/factory sealed condtion is $6,008.61.

The LEGO Western theme, also known as Wild West, ran from 1996 to 1997 with additional sets released in 2002. The theme included two subthemes, Cowboy and Indians, and was set in the Old West in the second half of the 19th century. Sets featured cowboys, outlaws, cavalry soldiers and native Americans/Indians.

The first Western sets released focused on sheriffs fighting against outlaws as well as a military presence in the old west while the few sets that featured civilians simply served as a back drop for bandits robbing carriages or banks. In the second year of the theme Indians became a major part of the Western theme and most of the sets included teepee's and native American minifigures.
