LEGO released a number of train sets under the World City theme from 2003 to 2004. A total of eleven sets were released, three of them being promotional polybag sets containing just minifigures. The trains in the World City theme were white with a green stripe and were both passenger and cargo trains.

The LEGO World City theme was released in 2003 until 2004 and was a continuation of LEGO City Center and was later replaced by the City theme. World City contained sets that focused on trains, airplanes, coast guard, police and firefighters.
