LEGO 1982 / Homemaker Sets

LEGO Homemaker was a theme introduced in 1971 designed to appeal primarily to girls and centered on domestic and suburban life-based settings. The larger of the Homemaker sets could be assembled to build complete room settings of a house, including a kitchen, living room, bathroom and bedrooms while smaller sets could build models of other household fixtures. The sets are known for using Homemaker figures built using standard LEGO bricks.

1982 LEGO Sets

In 1982, LEGO continued expanding its product range, with a major milestone being the evolution of the LEGO Expert Builder series. Originally introduced in 1977, this line was officially rebranded as LEGO Technic, solidifying its identity as a theme focused on advanced building techniques. Technic introduced specialized parts such as gears, axles, pins, and beams, enabling builders to create complex, functional mechanical models, including vehicles with working steering, suspension, and engine components. This shift marked the beginning of LEGO Technic as a distinct and enduring product line.
