About LEGO Ferries
These are LEGO models of real ferries and cruise ships, made for the shipping lines that sailed them and sold on board and in their shops. Most come from the Nordic routes. The earliest are from 1977, the Finnjet and a Silja Line ferry, and models followed for Viking Line, Stena Line, Color Line and the Danish Kronprins Frederik. Each was built in the colours and logos of the real ship. In 2016 and 2019 the idea moved to cruise ships, with models made for MSC Cruises.
1985 LEGO Sets
1985 expanded everyday play in Town—airports, transit, and rescue—alongside incremental growth in Castle and Space. Technic emphasized functional builds with working steering, suspensions, and gear trains, continuing to position the theme as LEGO’s bridge to real-world mechanics.
