The LEGO Town Flight theme, active from 1985 to 2004, centered around aviation and air travel. 1989 LEGO Sets
1989 was a landmark year with the global debut of LEGO Pirates, introducing expressive minifigure faces, large sailing ships, and the Imperials vs. buccaneers conflict.
