The LEGO Town Leisure theme, from 1981 to 1996, focused on recreational and vacation activities within a town setting. Key sets include 6374 Holiday Home and 6388 Holiday Home with Campervan, both depicting family vacation homes. The 6698 RV with Speedboat showcased outdoor adventure, while 6379 Riding Stable brought equestrian activities into the mix. 1989 LEGO Sets
1989 was a landmark year with the global debut of LEGO Pirates, introducing expressive minifigure faces, large sailing ships, and the Imperials vs. buccaneers conflict. Space Police I launched as a law-and-order counterpoint to Blacktron, while Model Team continued to grow with realistic, detail-rich vehicles for older builders.
