LEGO DUPLO Castle is a subtheme of the DUPLO line, designed for younger children with larger bricks for easier handling. Active from 2004 to 2008, the DUPLO Castle sets featured medieval-themed elements such as knights, castles, and dragons. Notable sets include "DUPLO Castle" (4777), "King's Castle" (4864), and "Knights' Tournament" (4776). These sets provided a simplified yet engaging medieval play experience for preschool-aged children.
2005 LEGO Sets
2005 shaped up to be a significant year for LEGO collections. Starting with the fact that LEGO System celebrated its 50th anniversary, we also saw a LEGO set designers change their techniques in set designing. 2006 marked the year that the skin color of the Star Wars minifigures changed from yellow to light nougat which also continued to various other future licensed themes. While this was a simple change, the value of sets saw high growth. 2006 introduced the LEGO City theme which replaced the Town theme, as well as Tiny Turbos under the Racers theme. However, in 2006 LEGO did discontinue Alpha Team and Baby.
