About LEGO Technic

TECHNIC is one of The LEGO Company's main lines based on creating detailed model machines and mechanical toys with specialized beams, axles, gears and connectors. The theme was first introduced as the Expert Builder series in 1977, but was officially renamed as TECHNIC in 1984.
2008 LEGO Sets
2008 celebrated two milestones: the 50th anniversary of the LEGO brick and the 30th anniversary of the minifigure. LEGO Cuusoo (later LEGO Ideas) launched in Japan, paving the way for fan-designed sets. Indiana Jones joined Star Wars as LEGO’s second Lucasfilm theme, and Speed Racer appeared briefly alongside it. In-house lines included Agents and the debut of LEGO Architecture, aimed at adult collectors. The Green Grocer (10185) further elevated the Modular Buildings line, confirming its status among LEGO’s most prestigious collections.
