“While there's plenty of large scale Technic trucks on the market, there isn't a large scale cherry picker. The only other set that LEGO has done is 42031: Cherry Picker, and it's very small. The inclusion of Power Functions boosts the collectibility rating up, however... More there's not all that much else in there that would boost it further. This will be a very individual decision.”

“The functions work well and I llked it more than I thought I would. Oddly mine seemed to be missing a Axle Pin with Friction, but since it includes extra parts for the alternate model I didn't mind using one of my spares. On the subject of the alternate model, it is a dump... More truck which is made out to be a total re-build, but it isn't.”

About Technic

TECHNIC is one of The LEGO Company's main lines based on creating detailed model machines and mechanical toys with specialized beams, axles, gears and connectors and primarily designed for older children and adults. The theme was first introduced as the Expert Builder series in 1977, but was officially renamed as TECHNIC in 1984. TECHNIC is still an active theme, and is one of the longest running themes in LEGO history. While most TECHNIC sets are vehicles that use pieces to mimic real vehicles, such as engine pieces, suspension, pneumatic, and transmission pieces, the TECHNIC parts have been used by various other System themes as well as LEGO Mindstorms.
