LEGO Ben 10 was a collaboration between LEGO and Cartoon Network in 2010 and was based on the Alien Force series. It was an unsuccessful theme commercially at the time and was discontinued in the same year, in fact, the theme is considered by some as the most unpopular LEGO theme of all time. The sets were based on the BIONICLE parts and each set is an action figure version of one of Ben's alien forms. The Ben 10 theme was revealed at about the same time that BIONICLE was being wound down and did feature an improved ball-and-socket joint.
2010 LEGO Sets
2010 marked the debut of Collectible Minifigures Series 1 and 2, launching a global collector phenomenon. LEGO expanded its Disney partnership with Cars under DUPLO and Toy Story sets in minifigure scale, while Prince of Persia joined the lineup alongside Star Wars sets celebrating The Empire Strikes Back’s 30th anniversary. New original themes included Atlantis, Hero Factory (successor to BIONICLE), World Racers, and Kingdoms, a return to historically inspired castle play. Several older lines ended, including Agents, Bob the Builder, Indiana Jones, and Thomas & Friends.
