About Exclusive LEGO Universe
LEGO Universe Sets were released in 2010 and 2011 to promote the LEGO Universe massively multiplayer online game (MMOG). These sets include the "LEGO Universe Rocket" (55001) and "LEGO Universe Nexus Astronaut" (2853944). The sets featured unique elements and minifigures tied to the game's storyline and characters. The game, which encouraged creativity and adventure in a virtual LEGO world, was active from 2010 until its closure in 2012. These sets are now considered collectibles due to their connection to the short-lived but memorable online game.
2010 LEGO Sets
2010 marked the debut of Collectible Minifigures Series 1 and 2, launching a global collector phenomenon. LEGO expanded its Disney partnership with Cars under DUPLO and Toy Story sets in minifigure scale, while Prince of Persia joined the lineup alongside Star Wars sets celebrating The Empire Strikes Back’s 30th anniversary. New original themes included Atlantis, Hero Factory (successor to BIONICLE), World Racers, and Kingdoms, a return to historically inspired castle play. Several older lines ended, including Agents, Bob the Builder, Indiana Jones, and Thomas & Friends.
