Soft Bricks are the oversized foam bricks in LEGO Education, and three sets of them are listed. 9023 Soft Brick Activity Set from 2000 pairs a few large soft bricks in red, green and blue with DUPLO bricks for sorting and matching by size. 9024 LEGO Soft Imagination Set followed in 2005, with some bricks printed with eyes and smiles. 45003 Soft Starter Set from 2013 has soft 2x2 and 2x4 bricks in red, blue, green and yellow, a few with curved tops, big enough to build walls, towers and child-sized figures.
2013 LEGO Sets
2013 introduced Legends of Chima, a heavily promoted fantasy line positioned as Ninjago’s successor, complete with a companion TV series. Licensed debuts included Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Lone Ranger, and new DUPLO tie-ins for Jake and the Never Land Pirates and Mickey Mouse. Collectors pursued the ultra-rare Mr. Gold minifigure from Series 10, limited to just 5,000 worldwide. This year also marked LEGO’s shift from 4-digit to 5-digit set numbering as Monster Fighters, SpongeBob SquarePants, Cars, and Dino concluded.
