The LEGO Legends of Chima / The Power of the CHI subtheme was a special series released in 2013 as part of the Legends of Chima theme. These sets focused on the mystical CHI energy, a powerful force in the Chima universe that granted animals enhanced abilities. The sets in this subtheme often featured large, CHI-powered vehicles, mechs, and structures, incorporating translucent blue CHI elements to highlight their energy-infused nature. Many sets depicted battles between rival animal tribes—such as Lions, Crocodiles, and Wolves—fighting for control over CHI orbs. The subtheme was tied into the Legends of Chima storyline, which revolved around the struggle to harness CHI for good or evil. These sets also aligned with the Speedorz challenge-based gameplay, where players could race and compete for CHI.
