The LEGO Movie 2-in-1 theme, released in 2014, features versatile sets that can be built into two distinct models, reflecting scenes from "The LEGO Movie." Notable sets include "70805 Trash Chomper," which transforms from a garbage truck to a chomping, flying machine; "70811 The Flying Flusher," converting from a plumber's van to a flying toilet vehicle; "70804 Ice Cream Machine," switching between an ice cream truck and a flying ice cream shooter; and "70806 Castle Cavalry," which can be built as a medieval castle or a modern siege vehicle. Each set comes with instructions for both builds.
2014 LEGO Sets
2014 was a very important year for LEGO. With the release of The LEGO Movie at the beginning of the year, LEGO was introduced to a whole new generation and population of LEGO lovers, collectors and investors. In addition to the movie, LEGO celebrated the 15th anniversary of LEGO Star Wars and even more important was the decision to continue the Ninjago theme which was originally slated to be discontinued. 2014 also gave collectors the minifigure-scale Minecraft theme based off the widely popular game. New themes that year included Juniors, The LEGO Movie, Mixels, The Simpsons, Ultra Agents, Fusion and Disney Princess. In addition, we did see a number of discontinued themes such as Galaxy Squad, Lone Ranger and The Lord of The Rings.
