About LEGO Books Apress
Apress is a publisher of computing and technology books, part of Springer Nature, and its LEGO titles come from that side of the hobby. The Art of Virtual LEGO Design covers designing LEGO models on a computer before building them, and The Ultimate LEGO Technic Book goes into Technic building and the mechanisms behind it.
2024 LEGO Sets
In 2024, LEGO broadened its creative reach through major new licenses, digital experiences, and sustainability goals. The LEGO Dune theme debuted with the Atreides Royal Ornithopter, faithfully capturing the design of the 2021 film. A landmark collaboration with Epic Games introduced LEGO Fortnite, blending survival, building, and over 1,200 minifigure-style characters. Other notable releases included LEGO Animal Crossing and LEGO The Legend of Zelda, expanding LEGO’s Nintendo partnership, and LEGO Wicked, tied to the upcoming musical film. LEGO Despicable Me returned alongside sets for the new Despicable Me 4 movie, while LEGO Star Wars marked its 25th anniversary with commemorative editions. Sustainability remained central to LEGO’s mission as it reaffirmed goals to use 50% renewable or recycled materials by 2026 and phase out fossil-based plastics by 2032.
