2024 LEGO Sets

2024 was yet another great year for LEGO collectors and investors. 2024 saw a staggering 707 sets released, not including gear or books, with 179 promotional and not for retail sets.

Based on the 707 sets released for that year, the retail value was $33,119.80 with a current value of $54,909.17 for the combined new/factory sealed sets. As of present, the best performing theme for 2024 is currently Gabby's Dollhouse which has seen an average annual growth of upwards of 23% to date. All together 2024 saw the release of sets covering 38 themes and 151 subthemes with Star Wars having the highest release count of 57 sets.

In 2024, LEGO broadened its creative reach through major new licenses, digital experiences, and sustainability goals. The LEGO Dune theme debuted with the Atreides Royal Ornithopter, faithfully capturing the design of the 2021 film. A landmark collaboration with Epic Games introduced LEGO Fortnite, blending survival, building, and over 1,200 minifigure-style characters. Other notable releases included LEGO Animal Crossing and LEGO The Legend of Zelda, expanding LEGO’s Nintendo partnership, and LEGO Wicked, tied to the upcoming musical film. LEGO Despicable Me returned alongside sets for the new Despicable Me 4 movie, while LEGO Star Wars marked its 25th anniversary with commemorative editions. Sustainability remained central to LEGO’s mission as it reaffirmed goals to use 50% renewable or recycled materials by 2026 and phase out fossil-based plastics by 2032.
