Landmark Series is a subtheme of Architecture that consists of 31 sets that ran from 2008 to 2022. Most sets were released in 2019 which accounted for 3 sets. As of today, the average annual growth of all the sets in Architecture Landmark Series is around 10.6% but this should level out to around 7.4% in the coming years.

The LEGO Architecture Landmark Series started in 2008 and consists primarily of models that represent the world's most famous structures. Initially the sets were focused on major cities in the United States such as models of the Sears Tower, John Hancock Center, the Empire State Building, and the Seattle Space Needle followed by international landmarks including Burj Khalifa, Brandenburg Gate, the Sydney Opera House and dozens more. Within the subtheme the scale of the sets differ widely.

The Architecture theme which was introduced in 2008 contains sets designed by Chicago architect Adam Reed Tucker based on real structures. Adam Reed Tucker's sets focus on incredible man-made sights and structures based upon the real world and comprised of microscale models. Unlike most LEGO, Architecture sets are typically not meant for playing but rather designed for display. The debut sets, released in 2008, were of two Chicagoan classics: Willis Tower, and John Hancock Center then New York City's Empire State Building, followed by Seattle’s Space Needle.

Adam Reed Tucker sought a method to join his two passions of art and architecture using LEGO bricks. He founded Brickstructures, Inc. to design and build models of famous landmarks. Together with the LEGO Group they formed a partnership to release some of his models under the LEGO Architecture brand.
