The BrickLink Designer Program Series 2 is a fan-driven initiative where LEGO enthusiasts submit custom designs for potential production as official LEGO sets. The program involves a voting process to select finalists, followed by a crowdfunding phase where supporters can pre-order their favorite designs. Sets that reach a minimum of 3,000 pre-orders will be produced, with a cap of 20,000 units per set.
2024 LEGO Sets
In 2024, LEGO broadened its creative reach through major new licenses, digital experiences, and sustainability goals. The LEGO Dune theme debuted with the Atreides Royal Ornithopter, faithfully capturing the design of the 2021 film. A landmark collaboration with Epic Games introduced LEGO Fortnite, blending survival, building, and over 1,200 minifigure-style characters. Other notable releases included LEGO Animal Crossing and LEGO The Legend of Zelda, expanding LEGO’s Nintendo partnership, and LEGO Wicked, tied to the upcoming musical film. LEGO Despicable Me returned alongside sets for the new Despicable Me 4 movie, while LEGO Star Wars marked its 25th anniversary with commemorative editions. Sustainability remained central to LEGO’s mission as it reaffirmed goals to use 50% renewable or recycled materials by 2026 and phase out fossil-based plastics by 2032.
